EtherCAT technology group (ETG)

The EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG) is a community of interest dedicated to the further development and implementation of EtherCAT, an Ethernet real-time technology developed by the Beckhoff company and published by the International Electrotechnical Commission( IEC) as a Publicly Available Specification( PAS).

The ETG group aims to advance the cost-effective integration of EtherCAT into automation components and their interoperability.

This real-time technology is of particular interest for automation, plant engineering, production and manufacturing and is characterized by extremely low cycle times and delay times.
