EnOcean's application-specific equipment profiles, EnOcean Equipment Profiles( EEP), are defined by the EnOcean Alliance. Uniform coding of the user data in the data telegrams ensures interoperability of the various manufacturer data.
The equipment profiles are application-specific telegram profiles defined by the user data in the payloads. These profiles define, for example, which physical quantity is transmitted and how. It is about the resolution and the scaling in which the data are coded. There are several hundred EEP profiles, which are divided into many application classes. The application classes include applications in micro- energy harvesting( MEH), actuators and sensors.
Members of the EnOcean Alliance can propose new EEP profiles, which are then tested and extend the possibilities of EnOcean.
