DCI-P3 color space

The DCI-P3 color space is a color space specified by the Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI).

The DCI-P3 color space is used in digital cinema production and covers about 45% of the visible colors. In contrast, the color space specified in BT.709 covers about 36% and the color space specified in BT.2020 covers about 76% of the visible color spectrum. The main color differences between the aforementioned color spaces are exclusively in the green range.

The DCI-P3 color space has the following xy coordinate points in the CIE color space: Red 0.680/0.320, Green 0.265/0.690 and Blue 0.150/0.060.
