CAN calibration protocol (automotive) (CCP)

The CAN Calibration Protocol ( CCP) is a measurement protocol defined by ASAM (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems) that is used for networking with CAN buses.

The CCP protocol was developed in the 1990s as a manufacturer-independent standard for the parameterization of ECUs and supports flexible access to memory contents.

In contrast, the XCP protocol (Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol), which is traded as the successor protocol, can also be used on fieldbuses other than the CAN bus.
