equal error rate (biometrics) (EER)
Equal Error Rate (EER) is a measure of the error rate in biometric recognition.
The EER value is determined by the equality of correct and incorrect recognitions. It is given when the false acceptance rate( FAR) and false rejection rate( FRR) are equal.
Equal Error Rate is used to evaluate biometric data for correct authentication, comparing correct authentication performed within the specified tolerance limits and incorrect authentication. If both values are equal, it is called Equal Error Rate (EER).
