3DNow

3DNow is an extension set with 21 instructions for the instruction set of the x86 with which multimedia applications can be calculated faster. Rechenwerks 3DNow was introduced by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) with the K6microprocessors.

3DNow is specially developed for computationally intensive floating point operations and partly for integer calculations, so for the calculation of 3D graphics and multimedia applications.
