wireless robust authentication protocol (802.11i) (WRAP)

Wireless Robust Authentication Protocol (WRAP) ist ein optionales Verschlüsselungsprotokoll von 802.11i, das auf dem Offset Codebook ( OCB) des Advanced Encryption Standard ( AES) basiert. Es kann neben dem von 802.11i spezifizierten Verschlüsselungsprotokoll CCMP (Counter Mode With CBC- MAC Protocol) optional in 802.11- WLANs benutzt werden. Dass sich IEEE 801.11i für CCMP entschieden hat, liegt auch daran, dass mehrere Institutionen die Rechte an dem WRAP- Protokoll für sich beanspruchen.
