WRAP (wireless robust authentication protocol )

Wireless Robust Authentication Protocol (WRAP) ist ein optionales Verschlüsselungsprotokoll von 802.11i, das auf dem Offset Codebook (OCB) der AES-Verschlüsselung basiert. Es kann neben dem von 802.11i spezifizierten Verschlüsselungsprotokoll CCMP (Counter Mode With CBC-MAC Protocol) optional in 802.11-WLANs benutzt werden. Dass sich IEEE 801.11i für CCMP entschieden hat, liegt auch daran, dass mehrere Institutionen die Rechte an WRAP für sich beanspruchen.
