secure hash standard (encryption) (SHS)

Beim Secure Hash Standard (SHS) handelt es sich um kryptografische SHA- Algorithmen, die vom National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST) spezifiziert wurden. Die derzeitig gültigen Versionen sind im NIST- Dokument FIPS 180-4 aufgeführt. Es sind die SHA-Algorithmen SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, SHA-512/224 and SHA-512/256.
