LAN management protocol (TR) (LMP)

Das LAN Management Protocol (LMP) ist ein LAN- Protokoll für CMIS/ CMIP-Netzwerkservices, das direkt in die LLC-Sublayer implementiert wird. Da das LMP-Protokoll Anwendungen auf der Anwendungsschicht unterstützt, und die vier dazwischen liegenden Schichten überbrückt, unterstützt LMP kein Routing. Der ursprüngliche Name von diesem Protokoll war CMOL (CMIP Over Logical Link Control).
